The Nashville Police Department shared in a statement that the Department of Emergency Communications was alerted to a home on Friday at 1:21 p.m., the report said.
Police and the Nashville Fire Department arrived at the residence and found the 49-year-old songwriter “deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound,” the Nashville Police Department added. “His death is being investigated as an apparent suicide.” Jacobs wrote Garth Brooks’ 2007 hit “More Than A Memory” and Tim McGraw’s “Still.
