World number one Jannick Sinner of Italy has defeated the United States’ Taylor Fritz at the US Open, winning 6-3, 6-4 and 7-5.
Italy’s Jannik Sinner has defeated American Taylor Fritz in the US Open to take the top spot in the ATP rankings, following recent doping allegations and attacks from Australian star Nick Kyrgios .The triumph has earned the 23-year-old his second Grand Slam title, following his Australian Open win over Daniil Medvedev in January.
