Ravel Morrison will line up against Manchester United's under-21s on Wednesday afternoon
Former Manchester United midfielder Ravel Morrison is set to face off against his former club on Wednesday - twelve years after leaving Old Trafford.
The 31-year-old was a product of United's academy and part of the side - including Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard - that won the 2011 FA Youth Cup. Last year, Rio Ferdinand revealed what the legendary United manager thought of Morrison ahead of his appearance on his 5Live podcast. “Another thing about Ravel which I’ve always treasured, which no other player who made their debut did it, after the first game in the first team that he played, the next morning he came to my office and gave me a letter thanking me for giving him his debut. I was gobsmacked, Rio. The boy had a good heart. He was just beaten by his background."'
