Witnesses told 9News that the boy's older sister was so hysterical after the crash that she left the scene.
A teenager has died and his older sister is in hospital under police guard after a horror crash on the Pacific Highway in New South Wales overnight.
The 17-year-old boy was a passenger in a station wagon that crashed into a tree at Charmhaven on the state's Central Coast about 1.30am.Police said the 19-year-old woman, believed to be his sister, was allegedly driving the car.A teenage boy has been killed in a road crash on the NSW Central Coast. "I heard sort of a scraping banging noise over the road...Next thing I hear this woman screaming out, 'Help me, help me'.
"I came outside there was a young lady standing outside quite hysterical," a witness who was first on the scene told 9News.She was taken to Gosford Hospital with minor injuries, where she remains under police guard. A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.
