The bodies of six hostages taken captive by Hamas during the October 7 attack on Israel have been located in southern Gaza, according to the Israeli Defence Force.

The White House said the 23-year-old was abducted by Hamas during its attack on the Supernova Musical Festival in southern Israel last October. The US President said he was"devastated and outraged" by the news, saying his thoughts were with the young man's parents, Jon Polin and Rachel Goldberg. Mr Polin and Ms Goldberg recently delivered a heartbreaking address to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, pleading for the return of all hostages.
Ms Goldberg spoke of the emotional turmoil she and Mr Polin have experienced since their son was kidnapped. Israel on Sunday said security forces are operating with" all means" possible to bring home the remaining hostages, which the IDF estimates stands at 97.
