Sky News Australia has called the NSW state election for Chris Minns with Labor returning to government after 12 years in the political wilderness.

Liberal sources told host Laura Jayes they expected to lose between 10 and 12 seats with Labor securing a massive swing. “They are predicting a strong Labor majority and probably the biggest Labor majority there has been in decades,” Jayes said.Mr Minns also experienced a massive personal victory, receiving at least a 15 per cent swing towards him after barely holding on in the 2019 election.
The opposition has capitalised on voter fatigue after three terms of Coalition government while slamming Premier Dominic Perrottet over cost of living. Labor appealed to voters with its attacks on government privatisation, which has seen major motorways sold off, while promising to introduce a $60 weekly cap on tolls.
