Peter Stefanovic has apologised to Keegan Payne live on-air following his highly criticised interview with the teenager last week.During the interview, Stefanovic questioned Payne about an incident that occurred over three years ago, which involved the alleged theft of two vehicles. “There is a claim online that you stole a Polaris Ranger and Polaris quad that you and your friends stole and damaged from a business a few years back. First of all, is that true?” Stefanovic asked.
According to Cavanagh, no charges were laid against Payne at the time of the incident, as he chose to speak with Payne’s parents rather than take the matter further with police.
