Anchorage police logged more than two dozen vehicle collisions by this afternoon as a coating of light snow made for slick driving conditions prior to the evening commute.

The Glenn Highway, including a section at the Eagle River bridge, was slick from recent snow on Friday afternoon, Feb. 3, 2023.

Six of the collisions involved injuries, according to police spokeswoman Cherie Zajdzinski. Police were contacted about another 31 vehicles in distress, she said.
