The verdict was not what the Yankees wanted.
After several days of deliberation, Aaron Judge was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday, the latest and largest blow to the reeling Yankees.
The slugger sat for three games against the Rangers — all Yankees losses, in which they scored a total of four runs — and was put on the shelf before the club began a series Monday in The Bronx against the Guardians. Judge, whose injured list stint is retroactive to Friday, will be eligible to return Monday against the A’s.
