ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Two people, including a small child, were injured in a shooting in the Mountain View neighborhood on Monday afternoon, according to aOfficers were called to North Lane Street near the intersection of Thompson Avenue just before 3 p.m. on a report of a shooting.
Police learned that a man shot at another man outside, hitting him at least once. The victim ran from the shooter into an apartment belonging to people he didn’t know, police said. The shooter chased the victim and fired at least one shot from outside, hitting a small child in the apartment. The shooter then left the scene and police have not located him.Anyone with information on this case, including anyone who has surveillance video in the area, is asked to call police at 907-789-8900.
