Small plane crash kills 2 people in N.J., authorities say

The crash happened Monday afternoon in Cumberland County, according to the New Jersey State Police.

State Police troopers were called to the crash shortly before 2 p.m. on Parvin Mill Road in Upper Deerfield Township, authorities said.

The single-engine Champion Aeronca 7AC crashed in a residential yard with two people on board, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The National Transportation Safety Board was leading the investigation, officials said. The NTSB confirmed it was investigating and more details were expected later.
