The rebuilding process for the Texans could take years so timing is right for a new look
The Texans don’t have Carlos Correa, George Springer and Lance McCullers Jr. already in their talent pipeline. Jose Altuve and Dallas Keuchel aren’t on the roster.
Second-year general manager Nick Caserio also has a ways to go before he begins converting fervent believers like former Astros GM Jeff Luhnow, who was at the center of that franchise’s historic rebuild and excelled during an era when “In Luhnow We Trust” was a regular refrain on Twitter.If I had a vote on Kirby Drive, I’d cast one for a complete overhaul of everything.
But I guarantee you that some wild and crazy marketing guru would at least suggest a new name if the Texans really got serious about taking advantage of this low point and reconnecting with their scattered fanbase.Red, white and blue are as classic as it gets. But the Texans’ best uniforms are the ones that they rarely wear, and this organization is screaming for a new look.No offense, Toro. But Orbit’s in another universe and Clutch has been huge for years.
