Sneak peek inside new bar and restaurant with imaginative menu

People have already booked in

bar and tapas restaurant in time for next week's opening. The transformation has turned the white walls of what was once Italian restaurant Ottimo into a jade green forest with hand-painted gold flowers and a centrepiece of a colourful orchid over the bar.

Drinks only will be served for the first week, with food coming a week later. The bar will open on Tuesday September 5 at 5pm and the kitchen on Tuesday September 12 from 4pm. Fish lovers will be able to devour prawns with tamarind and XO sauce and curried hake with lentil dahl. Veggie dishes include Grandad's stilton and marmalade bread and butter pudding and a vegan woodland 'scollop' with satay sauce and Corn Flakes.including Feuer Frei, with chilli-infused rum, and Black Opium with dark chocolate, pineapple, absinthe and star dust powder. There's twists on classics, amongst them Rosemary Negroni Sbagliato and Chocolate Manhattan.
