HOW MUCH SNOW DID YOU GET? It's a tricky morning on the roads with patchy fog, snow flurries and overall very slick conditions. Here's what you need to know about what today will look like and what schools are delayed this morning.
The Uintah School District announced that all of its schools will delay opening by two hours on Tuesday morning. Half-day kindergarten will NOT be held, but full-day kindergarten will occur as scheduled, but on the delay. Central Cove Preschool will NOT be held. Check FOX 13's school weather status page for any further closures.
The National Weather Service reported Alta Collins received 29 inches of snow in the last 48 hours, while Bryce Canyon Headquarters got 9.4 inches. Other snow totals are expected to trickle in throughout the day.The storm system is moving east of Utah and while the South is drying out, moisture wrapped around the storm will keep snow going.
Patchy fog is also contributing to tough visibility on the roads, especially near the Great Salt Lake.Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories are in effect for several areas — some ended Monday, while others continue until 11 a.m. or even 5 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wasatch Mountains are expected to receive the most snow.
The storms will taper off late this afternoon, so hopefully, there won't be as big of an impact on the evening commute.
