Rain could start Thursday night and morph into a wintry mix by Friday morning.
Although the midstate is supposed to warm up in the next couple days, it will be right back to below freezing during Friday’s expected snow, sleet and freezing rain showers, forecasters said.said Wednesday and Thursday could both reach the mid 40s — a huge jump from last week’s 20-degree highs and single-degree lows.
But don’t get too excited. Rain could fall overnight Wednesday, then all day Thursday, followed by freezing rain and sleet before 9 a.m. Friday, according to the NWS. Snow and sleet could fall between 9–11 a.m., then snow and freezing rain after 11 a.m., forecasters said. According to the NWS, less than half an inch of snow and sleet could accumulate Friday. Highs could peak around 32.
Temperatures are likely to drop into the teens overnight Friday into Saturday, forecasters said.
