The Bay Area is expected to see more rain in the next few days. After another day of sunny, dry conditions on Friday, the San Francisco Bay Area is expected to see a period of wet weather that could start as early as Saturday night and continue into Tuesday.
“Early forecast shows soaking early season rains likely for most of the region,” the National Weather ServiceThe North Bay, San Francisco, Peninsula and South Bay could see 1 to 1.5 inches of rain across four days. The interior East Bay, locations such as Livermore and Concord, is predicted to record a little less rain at 0.5 to 1 inch. The storm is still a few days out, and the weather service said the projected totals could shift.
The rain comes as a cold front dives down into California from the Pacific Northwest. Very light rain is expected Saturday evening, arriving first in the North Bay. A break from the wet weather is likely on Sunday before rain chances return Sunday night into Tuesday, the weather service said.
