SNOW IN SANTA CLARITA: That’s something we rarely report on but it happened! Santa Clarita valley and other low-lying areas got flurries of snow as some people say they saw their first snowfall in years.
The historic winter storm lashed through Southern California Saturday, bringing heavy rain, snow and high winds. Rainfall is expected to continue falling Saturday night before slight clearing Sunday morning.
Though there's no longer a blizzard warning, but a winter storm warning is in effect until 4 a.m. on Sunday. There's also a flood watch for all of Southern California until 10 p.m. Saturday night, though that could be extended.- Some showers will continue through Los Angeles down to northern Orange County.- The rain will begin backing off but it'll still be snowing in some areas, though it won't be as intense.- The skies will clear up a bit but you can expect to see a few showers pop up here and there. That's expected to last through Sunday evening.
