The Socceroos are heading to a record fifth consecutive FIFA World Cup after a nail biting contest against Peru with the Aussies coming out victorious in a tight and tense penalty shoot-out.
The close match was forced to a shootout after the score was still locked at 0-0 after 120 minutes of regular and extra time.

Picture: Joe Allison/Getty Images "Andrew Redmayne is a very good penalty saver, and to try to get him on the mental aspect while we were making that change, to add that bit of uncertainty in their brains," Arnold told Network 10 of the decision after the match.
"I'm just so proud of the players, you know. No one knows what those boys have been through to get to here," he said. You know, I'm not going to take credit. The boys ran out 120 minutes, and it not only takes 11 on the field but the boys on the bench, the boys in the stands," Redmayne told Network 10.
