A Thai soldier has killed at least 10 people in a shooting rampage in north-east Thailand and remains at large, police said.He opened fire at a mall and streamed activities live on social mediaLocal media outlet Thairath said that 12 people had been killed in the shooting in the city of Nakhon Ratchasima, also known as Korat.
The soldier had opened fire at different locations in the city, which is more than 250 kilometres from the capital Bangkok, police spokesman Kissana Phathanacharoen said in a message sent to reporters. One video from a bystander showed a man slumped at the wheel of a car in a pool of blood. It was unclear if he was among the dead.
