Tops in Ohio, according to the publication, is Bexley High School near Columbus.
Solon ranks sixth and Rocky River eighth statewide. Nationally, Solon is 227th and Rocky River 288th, while Bexley is 121st. Other Greater Cleveland high schools in the top 25 in Ohio are Chagrin Falls , Aurora , Hudson , Revere and Bay . Ranked between No. 25 and No. 50 are Brecksville-Broadview Heights , Highland , Kenston , Cleveland John Hay Early College , Avon Lake , Orange , West Geauga , Avon Cleveland School of Science & Medicine and Cuyahoga Heights .
Common traits among the highest-ranked schools are those whose students achieved high scores on state assessments for math, reading and science. These schools also had strong results for underserved student performance, focusing on students who are Black, Hispanic, or from low-income households, performance on Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate exams, curriculum breadth and graduation rates, U.S. News said.Two years ago, Solon High School was ranked No. 5 overall in Ohio.
