A man says his 87-year-old father was potentially exposed to COVID-19 in an aged care home where a healthcare worker did six shifts despite having coronavirus symptoms.
However, he said there was a still a"big question mark" over how many other residents could have been infected over the six days. "I know staff have been stressed, I know with the casualisation of the workforce there is a subconscious drive to go to work, but it's not good enough." Anglicare Sydney said it was advised by the NSW Public Health Unit late on Saturday night that a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.
