A son has shared a heartbreaking tribute to his mother who was his 'everything' as he prepares to say his final goodbyes before flying her body back to her birth place.

It was about 40 to 50 seconds later Cauchi was shot dead by hero Police Inspector Amy Scott after the 40-year-old lunged at the senior officer with the blade.
