The couple met on a singles cruise that Chew was hosting, with Sng assisting with the event management company. Sng proposed to Chew during a beach date, recalling how he started talking about things he was grateful for and asked if she would clean up after him if he had an accident.
Chew jokingly agreed, leading to his proposal. Chew admitted that Sng was initially unsure about their relationship due to her career in the media industry. She addressed rumors of a past date with her radio co-host Joakim Gomez, stating that their relationship is purely professional.
