But Garbin bravely opted to remain in Melbourne, where she joined her third Super Netball club the Melbourne Vixens.“I felt so lucky and grateful the Vixens showed interest in me,” the 27-year-old told Fox Netball.“She didn’t try and schmooze me and tell me how good I was or sell myself or anything like that. She just spoke about the Vixens environment, the standard… after speaking to Simone that definitely cemented my decision.
“I feel really grateful for my career and the path that it’s taken me to get there has probably shown it’s not easy. You’re not just going to sign an SSN contract and step right on the court.”Garbin was the recruit of 2024 after stepping in to start at goal shooter in the absence of pregnant Vixen Mwai Kumwenda.
