Miller, who was drafted out of high school by the Rangers in 39th round in 2008, but opted to attend Clemson, spent 2021 with Philadelphia. He had spent the bulk of his career in Seattle, where he and Rangers manager Chris Woodward crossed paths when Woodward was a Mariners coach from 2013-15. Last season, his second stint with Philadelphia, Miller hit .227/.321/.453/.774 in 377 at-bats. He hit 20 homers, the most he’d hit since his career high of 30 in 2016.
