sources have told Football InsiderThe 21-year-old has long been of interest to the Merseysiders, who were considering stepping up that interest after losing out on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia to Chelsea.
That is despite him being an unused substitute for Friday’s Bundesliga opener against Werder Bremen and the DFL-Supercup loss against RB Leipzig. Gravenberch was instead called up as part of the Under-21 setup for this summer’s European Championships in Georgia and Romania.
