A South Australian dance teacher who was on board the Singapore Airlines flight which encountered severe turbulence that killed one and injured dozens is facing the prospect of never walking again. Kerry Jordan was on the plane with her husband Keith Davis when it suddenly plunged 2000m in three minutes after hitting an air pocket.

From his hospital bed in Thailand, Davis told 7NEWS his wife was thrown from her seat in the turbulence and as a result suffered a severe spinal injury. She remains in the ICU. “She’s had emergency surgery and she had no feeling from her waist down so it’s a pretty scary time.
