Maybole Community Campus was expected to welcome pupils and staff on Thursday.
The opening of a £60 million super school in South Ayrshire has been delayed until next week as final touches are added to make the campus “fit for purpose.”
The school will incorporate Carrick Academy, St Cuthbert’s Primary School, and the new Culzean Primary School and Early Years Centre, formed from the amalgamation of Gardenrose and Cairn Primary schools. Childcare provision has also been put in place for families who are not able to make alternative childcare arrangements tomorrow and Friday.
“Between Monday, August 28 and Friday, September 1, early years provision will operate from the former Cairn and Gardenrose Primary School buildings. “Remote learning activities are available and information on these have been sent to families from the three schools.
