A South Oxhey man has avoided prison after breaching his suspended sentence for stamping on a stab victim.
Taylor Thompson-Hughes, 20, of Prestwick Road, was sentenced in September for stamping on Alan Zablocki’s forehead after his co-defendant Keyarno Johnson-Allen stabbed him. The incident happened on October 30, 2022, after a brawl in the taxi queue outside the St Aldates Tavern in Oxford.Johnson-Allen stabbed his victim once in the back then replaced the trainer that had come off his foot when he fell to the ground.Judge Michael Gledhill sentenced Johnson-Allen to five years’ detention in a young offenders’ institution. He suspended Thompson-Hughes’ 12-month sentence for two years.
However, he appeared at Oxford Crown Court on Monday, May 13, after failing to show up for two unpaid work sessions on January 10 and January 18 this year without a good excuse. We want our comments to be a lively and valuable part of our community - a place where readers can debate and engage with the most important local issues.
