Changes have been made this year after long queues and bad traffic during the previous event
Aviation fans are set to be treated to a phenomenal display from the legendary Red Arrows as the Southport Air Show returns this weekend
The event is billed as one of the 'most spectacular' events in the aviation calendar and guests will get to see some of the best jets, fighters, bombers, helicopters and aerobatic aircraft during their visit. As well as the aerial action, there will be flight simulators, static aircraft and military vehicles to explore.This year, the event will look a little different as changes have been made to avoid the issues that arose during last year's event.
How to get there if you're driving The postcode for the air show is PR8 1RY. A traffic management plan with some road closures will be in place. Organisers have said there will be better signage and increased staff numbers to manage the traffic this year. Upon arriving to Southport you will be directed to the closest event car park.
