Police are seriously concerned about a 57-year-old bushwalker who vanished two weeks ago.
Police are seriously concerned about the welfare of a Sydney man who vanished into bushland south-west of the city almost two weeks ago.
They believe Banks may have set out towards Ahearn Lookout, Emmetts Flat campground or Russells Needle, a rocky sandstone spine jutting out of Nattai Valley. “We’re searching all of the tracks that lead away from where his vehicle’s located. He had limited supplies. Maybe they could have lasted a few days, yes, but certainly not two weeks.”Banks has visited the area before and police believe he was in good health when he set out for his overnight camp. Authorities don’t believe there are suspicious circumstances, but they are seriously concerned for Banks.
The track is for experienced bushwalkers and has limited signage, a rough path, steep hills and many obstacles.
