The officer talked to the Maple Heights driver, who admitted not only did he not have a valid driver’s license but also probably had a warrant. He told police he was hungry and on his way to MacDonald’s after having a couple of drinks. He was transported to Hillcrest Hospital for minor injuries where he refused a blood alcohol test. Meanwhile, police found a loaded 45 caliber pistol and ammunition in the vehicle glove box. He was charged with failure to control his vehicle, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and improper handling of a firearm.
