The spidery lash trend inspired by Manga characters is taking over TikTok.
These three users definitely make the trend look easy to recreate at home. But fair warning, individual lashes can be much harder to apply than regular strip lashes, even if you're a seasoned pro. Makeup artistsuggests starting with short or cluster lashes before graduating to individual pieces and applying to curled, mascara-less lashes because "curled lashes help to hold up individuals or false lashes.
To actually apply the lash hairs, dip the individual lash into a dot of lash glue and make sure it's only on the band. "[While] looking down into a mirror, 'drop' the individual on top of one's own lash, starting at the outer corner [and] working towards the nose," he explains. "The individuals should be flush with the root of one's own eyelashes.
It's not every day that a TikTok trend receives our stamp of approval, but these spiky lashes definitely make the cut.
