Two splash parks have been temporarily shut for maintenance work.
The pools at Cassiobury Park in Watford will be out of action for the weekend while the splash facilities at King George Recreation Ground in Bushey have also been closed.
Watford Borough Council said in a statement: “Cassiobury Park paddling and splash pools will be closed for essential maintenance from today, Friday July 29 to Sunday July 31, with bookings open again from Monday August 1. “The recent record-breaking high temperatures and spell of very dry weather mean the paddling pools have been busier than ever and carrying out the maintenance now will make sure the polls are up and running for the rest of the summer holidays.”Cassiobury Park splash park. Meanwhile, Hertsmere Borough Council said today: “So sorry to disappoint our young park visitors but we’ve had to close the splash park at King George Recreation Ground in Bushey because of a mechanical fault.“We’ll let you know when it’s open again.”
