It was fortunate that we were able to go down a different path, because they were on two separate titles. Not every property has the ability to do that. We were able to appeal to different people for different reasons. We looked at all the names and who was interested in what; the house only, the land only.

I didn’t want to tell them that I think we should change the direction two days leading into the auction. We chose to do it 10 days into the auction process.In the end, we almost ran three separate campaigns. We had the combined lot then the two individual lots.We had a Plan B, we had a Plan C and a Plan D if weren’t able to sell the land. One of our options, if we were unable to sell the land, was to submit our own development application and sell it with an approval.
