.Spotify has moved to calm a growing boycott of the audio streaming platform, saying it will provide listeners with medical and scientific information on COVID-19. The move comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex speak out. 7NEWS

But the royal couple, who signed a multi-year partnership to produce content for the platform in 2020, say they “remain committed to continuing our work” with the streaming service.It comes after top artists including Neil Young and Jodi Mitchell pulled their music in protest over Spotify hosting podcasts by Rogan.

“We have continued to express our concerns to Spotify to ensure changes to its platform are made to help address this public health crisis. Neil Young’s music was taken down from the platform last week after he offered it an ultimatum to remove either his work or Mr Rogan’s. “We are working to add a content advisory to any podcast episode that includes a discussion about COVID-19., a resource that provides easy access to data-driven facts, up-to-date information as shared by scientists, physicians, academics and public health authorities around the world, as well as links to trusted sources. “
