After sending India in to bat and watching the hosts amass 357 runs in Mumbai, Sri Lanka is rolled for a humiliating 55 runs to effectively end their hopes of progressing at the World Cup.
Sri Lanka has been skittled for just 55 runs thanks to some fiery fast bowling from India's Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj in their World Cup clash, with the unbeaten hosts securing a thumping 302-run victory to ensure a semifinal spot.Opener Pathum Nissanka was out LBW on the first ball of the run chasein this year's 50-over tournament, and arguably their most dominant, with Sri Lanka's batters lasting under 20 overs while chasing a 358-run target.
The defeat all but ended Sri Lanka's remaining hopes of making the knockout stages with Kusal Mendis's side suffering their fifth defeat from seven matches.
