St Ambrose Barlow RC High School, in Swinton, Salford, is flying high and going places as one of the top-performing schools in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Salford and in the city itself.
Pupils are nurtured to lead through the student council: you can find them running mental health support programmes for their peers or organising events such as Black History Month. There are many families, including those of staff, who have sent successive generations to the school commenting on its ‘family feel’ and closeness to the local community.
