The 23-year-old bus driver was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with life-threatening injuries.
Emergency services rushed to the A77 near Galston in East Ayrshire around 5.30pm on Monday, August 14, amid reports of a crash involving a white Ford Transit and a single decker Stagecoach bus.
The 23-year-old bus driver was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with life-threatening injuries following the incident near to the A719 junction.The transit driver, a 42-year-old man, was also taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries. His condition is described as stable.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and anyone with information, including dash-cam footage, who has not already spoken to officers is being urged to get in touch. Anyone who can assist is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3147 of Monday, 14 August, 2023.
