As Sydney prepare for Friday night’s blockbuster against Collingwood, star duo Tom Papley and Nick Blakey will be appearing “like you’ve never seen them before” at Norths leagues club on Wednesday night.

For Blakey, that preparation will include joining Papley to provide the inside story on “teammates, opponents, coaches, finals, off field antics and life outside of football” according to Norths Cammeray’s promotional material. Longmire gave a wry smile when he saw the bank of cameras lined up at the Swans’ Moore Park HQ for his regular Tuesday press conference – some weeks there is only one in attandance – but offered a firm no comment when asked about the prospect of his players generating some laughs on stage after the club’s worst defeat in 31 years.
Key forward Joel Amartey is also likely to return after being rested, while Papley and winger Justin McInerney are likely to miss the remaining three home and away matches.
