Channel 7 has announced a star-studded commentary line-up for the 2022 AFL season, but some big names have been overlooked.
After weeks of reports and rumours, the network on Monday confirmed its team by releasing promotional images from a photo shoot at the MCG.The announcement confirmed Pearce’s promotion to the position as special comments analyst for Friday night, prime time games.Pearce had replaced Wayne Carey on FridaysSeven’s Friday night broadcasts will once again be built around callers Brian Taylor, James Brayshaw, Matthew Richardson and Luke Hodge.

Seven’s announcement also revealed former West Coast star Xavier Ellis has been dropped from his role covering matches in Perth — replaced by local news presenter Ryan Daniels.
