Aspyr's upcoming Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Remake may be facing a serious delay, according to new reports.

The outlet cites two anonymous sources ‘familiar with development’ as their sources. According to them, the game’s art director and its design director were both apparently fired earlier this month. The sources say that as a result, studio heads are placing the project on hold as the studio seeks “new contracts and development opportunities”.
. In fact, Aspyr apparently created a vertical slice of the game for Lucasfilm and Sony just last month. However, a week later Aspyr fired both Brad Prince and Jason Minor from their positions as design director and art director, respectively – despite a positive reception of the slice from devs. While the team were happy with the slice, it seems the studio heads were not. According to Bloomberg’s sources, the heads felt too much time & money had gone into the demo over the game itself. It was disproportionate, according to someone familiar with the discussions, and left the project’s current course unsustainable. Apparently the estimated timeline also caused issues between staff and bosses.
