Darth Vader just recruited a droid army with anti-Force shields made of pure Kyberite. They're the perfect weapon against the Sith, now under his control... at least until August's Darth Vader 37, when the Scourge virus turns his army against him.

This article contains spoilers for Star Wars: Darth Vader #36 The Force is the cosmic current that connects all things in the Star Wars galaxy, and only those with a high enough midichlorian count can harness this universal energy. Yet there exist weapons that can actually repel and redirect the Force, even if it’s being wielded by a non-Force user. Now, these weapons are in the hands of a new faction of enemy soldiers who may very well use them to conquer the galaxy: the Dark Droids .
Star Wars: Dark Droids is an upcoming crossover event that will feature a new enemy that even Darth Vader has reason to fear: the Scourge. The Scourge is a sentient droid/cyborg virus that will travel the cosmos and infect droids wherever it finds them. The goal of this sinister entity is to add as many droids/cyborgs as it can to its hive-mind in order to take over the galaxy from organic life forms.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Dark Droids Have Kyberite Shields, Which They Can Use Against Vader In Star Wars: Darth Vader #36 by Greg Pak and Raffaele Ienco, a group of droids who were all once destroyed by Vader have come together, rebuilt and fully operational, to exact brutal vengeance upon the Sith Lord.
At the moment, every formerly-antagonistic droid is now Darth Vader’s unwilling ally, meaning he has a small army of droids with kyberite shields doing his bidding. However, Vader just surrounded himself with droids, meaning once one of them gets infected with the Scourge, all of them will be - including Vader himself.
Darth Vader surrounding himself with droids right as the Scourge is about to make its first moves against the Empire was enough of a hint that he is going to have his work cut out for him if he wants to survive this next event with his mind intact. The addition of these anti-Force weapons - kyberite shields - just made things that much more difficult, as Star Wars’ new faction debuts a shocking anti-Force weapon that they will likely use to conquer Darth Vader himself.
