An upcoming Star Wars novel will finally explore why a Jedi becomes an Inquisitor. Introduced in Star Wars Rebels, the Inquisitors answered directly to Darth Vader and were tasked with hunting and killing the remaining Jedi across the galaxy. From the Grand Inquisitor to the Third Sister, each Inquisitor has a different backstory, although their journeys share a lot of similarities.
