Tim Tszyu has likened his world title battle with Sebastian Fundora as David versus Goliath, but insists the towering American is the underdog in this modern-day showdown. The two combatants faced off for the first time in Las Vegas on Friday with the height discrepancy between the pair startling.
“This is unification so there’s another belt on the line, another legacy-defining type fight ... hopefully one day they will say the Tszyu name is the greatest family to ever step foot inside this boxing world.” Apart from height, Tszyu feels the “Towering Inferno” doesn’t bring much else to the table. Fundora was knocked out in the seventh round of his last fight, almost a year ago in Carson, California, by Brian Mendoza.
