Stella McCartney: “Amber, I want to ask you a little bit because you have been in the fashion industry for a little while now, and you have done incredibly well: I want to ask you, how did you come about this way of thinking? What made you passionate about the environment? And how are you bringing it into your everyday work? How are you spreading your message through what you do for a living?
Amber Valletta: “This is the thing. I think the more people like you, like me—other people who have a voice and a face in this industry and are tastemakers—we have an obligation to stop hiding in the shadows and to come out and say we believe in this; it is important; this has to change. Let’s innovate; let’s create; let’s do differently. So it’s hard because you put yourself out there, but I feel like I have an obligation.
