You can't talk sustainability in fashion without mentioning StellaMcCartney.
Stella McCartney has had a big year. After parting ways with luxury group Kering, her company became a part of the LVMH umbrella, where she also assumed a new role as a sustainability advisor to group head Bernard Arnault. A capsule collection with Taylor Swift for her new albumalso made headlines, all while she continued to advocate for greener and environmentally friendly business practices in fashion.
To that end, the brand states that their Spring 2020 collection is their most sustainable yet, with over 75 percent of materials marked as eco-friendly. While other luxury brands have only recently made strides toward having a better environmental footprint, McCartney has championed such causes since its inception, and it will be interesting to see how much further it can go as it continues to evolve.
