The rodeo is at 7 p.m. July 9 with kids’ activities at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $8. The international demolition derby is at 7 p.m. July 10; tickets are $12. Another international demolition derby is at 7 p.m. July 15; tickets are $13 for kids 12 and under and $16 for those 13 and over. The figure 8 demolition derby is at 7 p.m. July 11; tickets are $12.
Other fan-favorite entertainment acts include the Bear Hollow Wood Carvers with shows at 10 a.m., noon, 4 and 8 p.m. July 11-14, Silly Safaris with shows at 3, 5 and 7 p.m. July 15-16; and the Curious Kids Trail from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. July 9-15. Kids can enjoy dozens of amusement rides and games at the Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis July 29-Aug. 21.
There will also be live music daily in the entertainment tent, 4-H competitions and livestock auctions, an old-time church service, toddler and queen pageant and a carnival with unlimited ride specials.July 13: Parker McCollum, 7:30 p.m.; $25-$45Porter County Fair July 21-30Hours are 8 a.m.-11 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m.-midnight weekends. 4-H events begin between 8 and 8:30 a.m. Food vendors begin preparing food around 11 a.m. Admissions gates start charging admission at 12 p.m.
