About 100 more incoming and outgoing flights were canceled out of Dallas Love Field while hundreds more flights at each airport were delayed. The Federal Aviation Administration put ground stops and ground delays on incoming and outgoing flights at each airport at various points in the day. Flights coming into DFW Airport were delayed on average about 2 1/2 hours as of 7 p.m. Monday.
“Due to severe weather conditions, ramps are currently closed at DFW to protect passengers and staff,” DFW International Airport shared in a Twitter message around 6:26 p.m. as a line of severe thunderstorms passed over the area.
