Stranger Things star Maya Hawke details the future she wants to see for Natalia Dyer's character Nancy Wheeler. Nancy has charted a steady trajectory of growth since season 1, romantically linked to Steve Harrington when the show kicked off but bonding with Jonathan Byers . Eventually, Nancy and Jonathan struck up a relationship after she and Steve broke up in season 2, and the two enjoyed a strong and supportive relationship despite a few arguments in season 3.

Among other developments, season 4 featured plenty of physical and emotional distance between seemingly stable couple Nancy and Jonathan, which opened the door for some sparks to fly with her ex, Steve.
Though Nancy has a compelling history with both Steve and Jonathan, fun to watch doesn't necessarily equate to 'good for one another.' After all, losing Nancy prompted Steve to look inward and become a more mature person, and being with Nancy seems to have placed undue pressure on Jonathan in season 4.
